CSC Membership Renewal for AY12/13

Hi CSC-IANS,

As the new academic year has come, we would need to keep our list of subcomm members updated in preparation for the new AY.

Therefore, if you wish to continue being a CSC subcomm, kindly fill in your particulars in the following weblink:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dERkcDhXSXIzTFZVbXZRRU5peV9BUkE6MQ#gid=0

Once you’ve filled up your particulars, you do not need to sign up with us at our booth during the CCA recruitment drive (This is to avoid confusion of double sign-ups).

Please note that if you do not sign up by 30th April, your membership in CSC will be terminated, and upon termination of your membership:

- Your name will be excluded from the CSC subcomm database and CSC mailing list for AY12/13

- You will no longer be receiving email notifications from us with regards to our upcoming events

For graduating students of AY11/12, if you still wish to receive notifications of future CSC events/volunteering opportunities, you may join/follow our Facebook/Twitter/Blog. However, please note that priority will be given to the current TP students first.

Thank you and we hope to see you in our events in the following academic year. =)

Best regards,

Volunteering @ Sree Narayana Mission Home for the Aged Sick‏

Dear CSC-IANS,

According to Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, the number of elderly citizens being admitted to old folks’ homes had steadily increased from 5,203 in 1997 to 9,278 in 2008. The figure is expected to continuously increase when aging population is on the rise. TPCSC is organising a project to educate our volunteers with a hands-on volunteering exposure and better understanding of the elderly situations whilst benefiting the elderly with support, care, interactions, and performances. We are now recruiting 30 passionate volunteers to conduct our mission at a residential and institutional home for the elderly destitute, Sree Narayana Mission Home for the Aged Sick.

Priority would to given to individuals who have specialised skills such as ability to perform for elderlyfacilitate some hands-on activities and communicate in dialect. Passionate individuals without specialised skill are welcome to apply. We would be rendering nursing and cleaning services whilst interacting with them.

The details of the events are as follow:

Date: 29th March 2012 (Thursday)

Time: 9.30AM to 1.30PM

Venue: Sree Narayana Mission Home for the Aged Sick (Yishun)

Our recruitment works based on a first-come-first-serve basis, thus we encourage you to sign up immediately through the following weblink by 26th March 2012, 2359 hr:

Seal points would be awarded for your participation in the event. A confirmation email would be sent to selected volunteers by 27th March 2012.
